EVA Compounds for Reliable and Durable Products
Eva compounds, a patent invention that involves ‘injection molding’ concept for soles which have a treading surface of different colors, and which require cross-linking of two different types of granules for better expansion. ‘EVA’ has 4-60% of ‘vinyl-acetate ethylene copolymer’, which depends on the kind of addictive used for injection molding.
This addictive could either be cross-linking, expansible or thermoplastic. The permeability on EVA compounds is lower, making it advantageous for some products. The higher the vinyl-acetate content in these compounds, the lower the tensile strength, stiffness and softness would be; however, its permeability and toughness increase. These compounds are non-toxic, chemically stable and biocompatible.
The usage of expanding powder decomposes at a certain degree producing gases that process the injection-molding concept. This does not change the shape and the proportion, increasing its dimensions rapidly. Thereby, keeping the ratio and equation of the process, as it is.
Cross-linking and expansible ‘EVA’ is of low cost. They are intensively used for the production of economical soles, manufactured by the injection molding process, in footwear industries. It is also used in various commercially controlled-releasing devices.

These compounds are available with highly concentrated pigmentation, modifiers, thermoplastic resins and addictives that help to improve the quality of the product with sparkling and fine colors and hues. These compounds come within a range of distinct features that are also available in varying colors. These EVA compounds are customized modifiers and their granules are used in manufacturing automotive, footwear, electronics and electrical, industrial application, etc products.
EVA compounds successfully meet the multiple challenges of physical properties, process ability, appearance and cost requirement in various injection molding products and applications. Specially customized modifiers for these compounds are also available to manufacture products that are-
